Welcome to TheMaverickSpirit December 2018 monthly update or roundup report!
As promised earlier, in our Monthly Updates Post, we’re here with our Monthly update for the month of December.
This is our very first Monthly Roundup Report in 2 years.
Despite an income report, this report talks all about, the important ongoing TMS like-
- Blog post updates,
- Services and Tools we’ve used,
- Affiliate services that are doing very good for us both from the User’s perspective and some from an Income perspective,
- Things that we have learned from our blogging journey so far.
December 2018 Updates
1. TheMaverickSpirit Turned 2 This Year
Yes! TheMaverickSpirit turned 2 years old on 12th December. It’s been an awesome journey so far for us and we know there is more to come.
We’ve had both bad and good experiences, but we never stopped believing in our dreams and always tried to learn from our mistakes.

2. Proxima Nova Finally Joined The Family
This was one of the biggest changes in TheMaverickSpirit!
We’ve added one of the most popular and beautiful fonts “Proxima Nova” created by Mark Simonson to our website.
Our old fonts were (Open Sans, Roboto & Poppins) and we have replaced them with Proxima Nova.
Our whole focus is to maintain the symmetry of our website’s design, branding, user experience,
Said so! Proxima Nova certainly has increased our website’s user experience as it works really well on high-resolution screens to small mobile devices.
It doesn’t matter how small, big, light, or bold it is, you won’t see a blurry letter in any situation.
We don’t have to say more about it! The Font, says it all! Isn’t it?
3. New Category – WordPress Tutorials
We’ve opened a new blog category – WordPress Tutorials which talks about common problems, How-to tutorials, and useful tips and tricks related to WordPress.
So far, 5 posts are published in this category and there are more to come..

We’ve installed Sucuri WordPress Security Plugin on our website.
What is the Reason behind the installation of a security plugin?
Last month, we noticed some suspicious activities like unknown login attempts, a sudden increase in spam comments, etc.
That’s when we decided to install

Subscribers.com is a browser-based desktop & mobile push notification service to drive more traffic to your website using browser notifications.
It allows the website audience to “subscribe” to your website without an email address. Currently, it works with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari desktop, and Android mobile.
Subscribers are Free for up to 200 subscribers and work with HTTP & HTTPS both.
7. Affiliate Earnings – Best Services That Converted This Month
List of services and tools that did great for us in terms of affiliate marketing.
8. Marketing Holiday Event Page – Christmas & New Year Deal Pages
Just like last year, we published a Christmas & New Year Deal Page in which we listed a number of tools & services from different niches like –
- WordPress Themes,
- WordPress Plugins,
- Web Hosting,
- SEO Tools, and
- Social Media Management Tools.
It was indeed a successful event for us and we will recommend you do the same for extra income if you’re running a blog or a service or product owner.

2. Beginning of the Blogger Outreach Program
As we mentioned in our anniversary post, we will be starting blogger outreach from January 2019.
Our plans for the upcoming year are to boost our website traffic up to 3X & even 4X and we’re pretty sure we will achieve this goal.
We will share our Blogger Outreach Experience in a detailed post at the end of this year. 🙂
